The Crocodile Hunter
Well, it appears that the risks that Steve Irwin took throughout his very short life here on Earth took their toll ... article.
This just makes me sad. Such a tragic loss for his family and his friends. He would have been the first to say it wasn't the animal's fault for defending itself, because he truly understood that we are the ones encroaching on their territory.
Ace and I used to watch him quite a bit before we had kids. And ESPN had this really cute commercial during NCAA basketball time of Steve, tackling the Florida Gator mascot when the mascot got off the elevator right in front of Steve.
So sad...

I'm a mom of three peeps ... Queen Bee, The Door Man, and the Chandelier Monkey, and wife to Ace, the Helpful Hardware Man. I created this space to get away from the people known as my inlaws, and because life with three kids and a hubby is all Unexplored Territory.
The nine-year-old who seems to be growing older every minute, has an opinion and a comment for everything, and has a true servant's heart.
The seven-year-old who loves the organization of things, will someday be someone's therapist because of his kind soul, and will more than likely be living with us until he is 40 years old.
The five-year-old with the 13-year-old attitude, who has a dictator's personality, asks you to watch her all the time and say "hold on" to keep your attention, and will someday come home on the back of some dude's motorcycle with 10 tatts and a body piercing or two.
The man of the house, the fixer of things, the winner of prizes, and the only person in his family to escape the South.
A heavy heart

I heard about this too. Very sad. He seemed like a neat guy. And he did appreciate the animal kingdom.
Just too bad.
I always marvel how people can put themselves in a dangerous position. There are people (not me!) who truly crave the thrill and excitement and adventure of the unknown.
I admire the Crocodile Hunter's courage and love for animals. He truly was a teacher.
Ironic that stingrays don't usually kill people..I wonder about people that participate in such risky behavior when they have little guys at home...
it IS sad..
also can't get Chriti Thomas off my mind for some reason..I avoided that blog for a long time and now, I have to look several times a day. Can't hardly take the sadness...
Sad about tomorrow too..yes, this cold mother does have a heart HA HAA! Can't believe my baby is going to be in first grade..wahh! Can't believe I have to give a lecture on policy analysis tomorrow night..wah!
Can't believe choir starts this week..WAH! (need to ask you a favor on the Wednesday note my friend..)
Have a good night, call you tomorrow!
A great ambassador for Australia and Wildlife around the world. He will be sorely missed. He is a legend and the world will be a sadder place for his loss. Crocs Rule!!
It is sad, but he died doing what he loved. Not a lot of people can say that.
His poor family though.
I can only imagine how all the kids who religiously watch his shows feel.
