TT # 21

Last night, I was at choir practice from 7 until close to 10 pm. Tonight I have to do it all over again. Tomorrow night, I have to be at church at 6 for a concert that starts at 7, and do the same thing for Saturday night. Then I have to be at church at 8 am on Sunday morning because I am on frontline vocals. Needless to say, this list is properly titled

Thirteen Things I Would Rather Be Doing Than Practicing For and Singing in a Christmas Concert for the Next Three Nights

1. My job.

2. Knitting.

3. Scrapbooking.

4. Preparing for Christmas, which includes # 2 and # 3 above.

5. Sleeping.

6. Watching The Office.

7. Watching Battlestar Galactica (I will probably get to do this, but I am preparing for not being able to).

8. Sitting on my rear end, staring at the wall.

9. Washing all the windows in my house.

10. Sorting my sock drawer.

11. Vacuuming every nook and cranny of this house.

12. Blogging.

13. Did I say knitting?

Oy. What a weekend ahead. Happy TT, y'all!

8 through 11 have me cracking up.

However, I'm sure all that practice will pay off and it will be a lovely program.

You'd rather wash windows, vacuum, sort socks, than sing. Oh my, oh my. That's not good. Hang in there, hopefully it's almost over.

i don't mind the singing ... it is the sheer AMOUNT of singing that we have to do this weekend that gets me. And they expect us to have voices on Sunday to be able to sing.

Robin .. that is too funny you should say that because I leaned over to Pat last night and said "is it a bad sign when the sound person comes down and adjusts the microphone DOWN from me?" It gave me a little bit of complex, to tell you the truth. But thank you for that affirmation. I needed to hear that.

And yes... we are quite excited to be getting the new camera. Of course, it isn't the REBEL or anything!

And friend .. you made me totally cry last night!!!!! Thank you SOOOO much for the thoughtful card!!!!

Good luck with the Christmas Concert! :)

When you're finished with the concert, I'd make #7 a priority. ;) Battlestar Galactica is one of the favourite shows in our house.

Happy T13. :)

I can tell we have the same attitude toward authority; unless we're in charge, get out of our faces!

You forgot to mention number 14: Watching paint dry.

Ah yes, Bellezza. I totally forgot # 14. And yes ... I do think we are a lot alike with the authority issues. I don't like people who think they wield special powers over me just because they are in a position of "authority."

If you'd rather wash windows, you must really not like these practices. I'm trying to decide if I should get hooked on Battlestar.

Love #8 and #10. Guess you can catch up on all these things after the holidays!

Understand you have a great voice! Wish we all could hear.
