Friday, March 16, 2007 Friday's Feast # 6 Appetizer Name two things that made you smile this week. The 70 and sunny weather we had on Tuesday and realizing that the Door Man is just growing up so quickly, literally ... he is up to my chest now and I have always wanted to have a tall son. Soup Fill in the blank: Don't you hate it when ________? Don't you hate it when you run out of coffee and don't realize it until you reach for it in the morning? Salad When you can't go to sleep, what is your personal remedy to help yourself drift into Lullabyland? I haven't found one yet ...
Why I went to law school if I hate conflict.
What is your favorite pasta dish? It is commercial, but I LOVE Olive Garden's Portabello Mushroom Ravioli. Yum. Labels: Friday Feast, meme |
I'm a mom of three peeps ... Queen Bee, The Door Man, and the Chandelier Monkey, and wife to Ace, the Helpful Hardware Man. I created this space to get away from the people known as my inlaws, and because life with three kids and a hubby is all Unexplored Territory.
Oh yeah... Weight Watchers

Yes! Those ravioli are my favorite, too! And I also hate conflict. Being a university professor was a surprisingly contentious profession - not the teaching but dealing with university politics. My hair had always receded at the end of each academic year. Took all summer to fill in! I much prefer retirement and working ALONE in my basement...
Ann ... I TOTALLY hear you. I teach at a small school here, and I am always on pins and needles with the crappy politics there. I don't "play" those games, and I keep expecting someone to come up to me to tell me that I am not doing it right. It isn't that I question my abilities. I question the abilities of those in charge.
WooHOO...I know exactly what you mean! Because I did my actual teaching (and advising, planning, choreographing, holding office hours, etc) in another building literally on the other side of campus, there were "colleagues" who actually complained that I was never around, that they never saw me in the hallways. They said that meant I was not a team player...because I was not roaming the hallways and hanging out in their office doorways...morons! Did they come to see me? Can you tell it still boggles my mind?! S'ok...let THEM lose their hair. I am a happy camper now.
The coffee thing happens to me all the time. You go to make your morning coffee and you have only a 1/2 scoop let. you know it will be a bad day.
Hehehe - so why did you go to law school?
I hate conflict too. And I would make a terrible courtroom lawyer, but there are many ways to be a lawyer, I'm sure...
